We tried to get going and pack up in the morning, but there was a lot of dew and the tent was very wet. We took our time drying everything before packing it up and Andrew was not feeling well with severe abdominal pain and I felt light-headed for the second day in a row 🥺, so it took us a while to pack everything up and get ready to leave. We said good-bye to our hostess and the dog and left after lunch on a sunny Autumn day. We rode past the Fortin Mapuche museum which was open but we decided to head to Temuco without stopping as Andrew did not feel well. The trip was uneventful and there is no GoPro footage and we arrived in the afternoon at the same hotel we had stayed in January on our way South. The bikes were locked in a gated area in front of the hotel and we were in the same room as in January 😉. Andrew had a rest and an afternoon nap before we headed for dinner at the same place we had eaten in January. We checked out the “postres” (desserts) this time and I found something with castañas on the menu (which in German are called “Kastanien” – horse chestnuts) and they are my favourite dessert in Austria – so I ordered one. What I got was not quite prepared as the Kastanienreis in Vienna and looked not very appealing, but it tasted much better than it looked and I am glad I tried it 😉🤗. We had an early night after dinner.
