We had breakfast with the riders from Paraguay except for Cristi who had left early in the morning. It was a cold morning with only 4 degrees and we waited until it warmed up slightly more before another long day of 308km.

It was another day of endless straight roads with lots of potholes with water along side the road. We saw more nests of the monk parakeets on the power lines. There were lots of small towns with nothing much and just shacks. We fuelled up in Pampa del inferno and the remaining part of the ride was through more agricultural areas with large agricultural processing plants and many large farming machinery on the road which we had to pass. Luckily there was not too much traffic on this road. In addition to looking out for potholes, we also encountered the entire animal menagerie from goats, to horses and pigs alongside the road.

When we arrived in Monte Quemado, we checked out the hotel Tierra del Sol on the outskirts of town and they had a room for us but the wifi did not work in the room, so we moved rooms closer to reception and the wifi was still not fast enough to do our blogs 🥺. We left one of our stickers on their front window.

We had to wait for dinner until 9:00pm and retired to our room hoping for a good night sleep but the guy next to us coughed all night through and it kept both of us from a restful sleep which is rare since we normally sleep through pretty much anything 😉😂.

Bad pavement and potholes
Large agricultural processing plant
Large farm machinery
Passing large farm machinery
Tight overtake
Goats lose along the road
Horses next to the road
Avoiding potholes and more bad pavement
